Around Our Campus

Hollywood College is located in Koreatown, which is a central location in the heart of Los Angeles. Our school is conveniently situated next to the Wilshire/Normandie Purple Line Metro Station that connects to all parts of the city.

Subway Station- A couple minute walk from campus will take you to the Normandie/Wilshire station, which is an underground subway line operated by the MTA. This station also has several restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby.

Library- The Koreatown Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library is located less than a mile from Hollywood College and can easily be accessed by walking just a few blocks.

Coffee Shops- There are numbers of coffee shops located in the area, including Starbucks, Coffee Bean, and many other small cafes.

Restaurants- Hollywood College is surrounded by restaurants of all types, including Korean, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, American, and more. You can choose from full-service sit-down restaurants, food courts, food trucks, and of course, fast food restaurants.

Entertainment- Hollywood College is located by the Wiltern Theatre, which hosts a variety of events and live concerts. By taking the Purple Line Downtown, or into Hollywood, you’ll find countless shops, restaurants, clubs, and more.

Bowling- For students who enjoy bowling, Shatto Lanes is located just a few blocks north on Vermont. Shatto lanes has been in business since 1954 and has a vintage charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

Gyms- There are numerous gyms and fitness clubs in the area including Willfit, which is just a few buildings down the street.

Supermarkets- There are several supermarkets in the area, including Vons and Ralphs on the corner of Vermont and 3rd Street, and the Galleria market in the Galleria Mall.

Bank- Some of the banks conveniently located within minutes from HC include Wells Fargo, Chase, Bank of America, and Nara Bank.

Cell Phone Stores- Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile stores can all be found within a short distance from campus.

Drug Stores- There are several pharmacies located within a short walking distance from campus, including Walgreens, CVS, and Rite-Aid

Public Transportation

Hollywood College students are eligible to purchase Metro Student ID passes. Students receive a reduced fare of $43 for a monthly pass.

Subway System

The Normandie/ Wilshire subway stop is a couple minute walk from campus. THe Purple line connects with the Red Line and the Blue Line which lead to all destinations in Los Angeles. The Purple Line also takes you to Union Station, the central hub for all public transportation in Los Angeles. The Metro Rail System is a convenient way to get around town.

Bus System

Metro Rapid Express #720 steps on the block of the school and can take you to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Downtown, and MOntebello. Various MTA buses also stop in front of the school, making it easy for students to get to Westwood, Hollywood, Jefferson Park, and many other places throughout Los Angeles. The Santa Monica Big Blue Bus Rapid #7 also stops close to our school and goes all the way to Santa Monica where you can find the beach, the pier, and 3rd Street Promenade shopping center!
